Karen Dzupinka started Accounting Executive Services in 2006 with a mission to provide CFO, Controller and Bookkeeping services to companies who need the flexibility to tap into the right expertise at the right time. With the ability to see the big picture as well as the pesky details, we make sure her clients have the high quality financial information they need to stay on top of their business.
Karen Dzupinka started her accounting career with Goodman & Company immediately after graduating from Old Dominion University. She worked with Goodman & Company as an auditor and a tax preparer for almost 12 years. When she left the firm for private industry she was looking for a relationship where she could add value and make a difference. She held several private positions over the years in various industries but always missed the assortment of client relationships she experienced with public accounting. By starting up her consulting practice she was able to get the best of both worlds. She now experiences all of the benefits of multiple client relationships and gets the satisfaction of knowing that she is making a difference.

Karen Dzupinka CPA, CGMA
Founder & CEO
Karen has been a CPA in the Tidewater area for almost 25 years. She was born and raised in Alexandria, Va where she attended St. Mary’s Academy, an all girls Catholic school. She moved to Norfolk to attend Old Dominion University. Immediately after graduation she joined Goodman & Company as an auditor and tax preparer. After twelve years she left to work with two of her clients that had merged several companies together and sold their products all around the world. She remained their CFO for 10 years. In 2006 she founded Accounting Executive Services.
Stephanie Collier CPA, CGMA
Stephanie has expansive accounting knowledge and experience in multiple industries. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from James Madison University followed by a second bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Old Dominion University. She joined Accounting Executive Services in 2015 with over 20 years of experience. Stephanie has specialized knowledge of federal and state sales and excise taxes and credit card merchant processing systems.
Barbara has worked in the accounting field for the past 18 years, holding positons ranging from Controller to CFO. She grew up in NYC, attended Fordham University for two years; obtained her AA in Economics and subsequently completed her BS in Accounting at the University of Phoenix. In addition to extensive accounting experience in food manufacturing, Barbara also worked for a systems integrator and was responsible for assisting clients with their POS-Accounting interface. She joined AES in 2017.
